So what went down in San Diego town this weekend??
Friday night we threw together some meatballs with J. Lee Roy’s Dippin’ Sauce that we acquired at Foodbuzz Fest from a couple of genuine cowboys! Check them out, they also have seafood sauces and seasonings.
Unfortunately my seafood sauce was confiscated at the airport when I tried to smuggle it home in my suitcase. At least Chrissy’s BBQ sauce it made it through though!
On Saturday, a fondue and wine party with girlfriends after getting a manicure and pedicure was definitely the highlight.
Cheese and chocolate fondue parties at home are so simple. I think it sounds a little intimidating to most but we honestly threw this fun meal together in less than 30 minutes!
See below for our basic cheese fondue recipe.
We may have added Baileys and Nutella to the chocolate fondue.
It was a great decision.
Adapted from Tyler Florence

1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Crusty bread, apple wedges, and dates for dipping
Coat the shredded cheeses with flour and set aside. Rub the inside of the fondue pot with the garlic clove.
Over medium heat, add the wine and lemon juice and bring to a simmer. Slowly add the cheese and stir into the simmering liquid. Once smooth, mustard. pepper and nutmeg.
