4th of July Recipes!

by Chrissy

4th of July is almost here! Are you ready for the fun, food, friends and FIREWORKS?! I know I am.

Maybe a little too ready. Like I might be totally checked out right now and there is still a jam-packed day ahead of me…

Here is what’s going down tomorrow, should you choose to hop on the band-wagon.

Start your morning off on the right foot with some of this healthy fresh juice.

Morning Red Juice {Carrot, Citrus, Strawberry, Beet, Ginger}

Or on the other right foot, with a tasty mimosa. Or both?

Prep some festive salads to share. Make them unique!

Go the homemade route, if you have time for it, and really enjoy the flavorful, fresh taste.

Also, make something with bacon in it.

Marinate, slow-cook, or prepare your meats for the grill!

And no party is complete without some good, old-fashioned chips and dip, so don’t forget the salsa.

Utilize those plentiful & sweet ears of corn, by grilling, caramelizing or adding it to a salad, raw (see above).

Berries, berries berries! Get at them, ‘tis the season!

Find a fire pit, gas stove top, or a bon fire and make S’mores a priority. Add some fresh fruit in there, nutella, make your own graham crackers, or just stick with the usual suspects.

Then, after a fully festive and fun day, relax with the people you love most, and enjoy the firework show.

As for me, well, I’ll be eating practically all of the above and heading down to the beach to watch the fireworks and enjoy the ebb and flow of the tide. Typical beach bum.
