You’ve probably heard about the fires going on here in San Diego. Our prayers are with all those who are being affected. Fortunately, we are by the beach and far enough away from the fires that our air quality is still good and our homes are safe.

For Mother’s Day weekend, although I wasn’t able to be with my Momma, I know she would have loved these tasty wraps. The smokey roasted turkey, and the sweet and tangy spiced apple butter spread remind me a little bit like the holidays and cooking in the kitchen together. The creamy brie and the crisp apple are the perfect fillings.

Summer Squash Crostini {with ricotta & lemon}

Patty pan squash might be the cutest little vegetables known to man. They are such a pretty shape and are so tiny! I regret not taking a photo before I chopped them up for this recipe but Google it and you’ll have to agree with me.

While I used patty pan squash for this recipe, you can just as easily use yellow squash and zucchini if patty pans aren’t available to you.
