It’s raining! It’s pouring (well, not so much pouring…but for pete’s sake the sky is doing something other than emitting sunshine)! Now our farmers and pocketbooks can be a little more relieved that the price and quality of produce can be a little less inhibited by So Cal’s droughty weather.

Lime-Cilantro Buttered Corn on the Cobb

Corn is good. But corn on the cobb is simply glorious.

It’s just one of those phenomenons that can’t fully be explained, but I will try.


Here are a few thoughts that come to mind when I think of corn on the cobb:


1. Smothering it with butter.  This would be just plain weird with frozen corn.

Lemon-Lime Cilantro Hummus

I eat a lot of carrots and celery. Some would even go so far as to say that my skin coloring slightly resembles that of a carrot.
