Adobo Flank Steak with Sweet Corn and Tomato Relish…in a kitchen!

by Lauren

Well, we’ve gotten some serious rest under our belts after the trek across the Southwest. We’ve just left Franklin, TN right outside of Nashville, staying at my grandparents lovely home.

Of course, I took full advantage of the kitchen! I know…a kitchen! I’ve never been so excited to see one. It was much more practical that the tiny knife and camp stove I’ve become so accustomed to.

Yes, the porcini shrooms look, uh, a little nasty….I know, I was scared to go through with this at first sight of the ingredient.

But as soon as those porcinis hit the chicken stock steaming bath, the glorious smell will instantly change your mind about these babies. I crave them now. I long for Read more...

Chianti Chicken Cacciatore

by Chrissy

IMG_3035.JPG

This dish is no stranger in the Little Yellow Kitchen. If you have been following us for a little while now, you will already know that:

1) we love Italian food

2) we have already posted about chicken cacciatore

But who cares?

Since there are a few ways to make this dish, we decided that we would get to work, and tag in for a second round at it. While eliminating the bacon and parsley, a whole lot of … Read more...
