Adobo Flank Steak with Sweet Corn and Tomato Relish…in a kitchen!

Well, we’ve gotten some serious rest under our belts after the trek across the Southwest. We’ve just left Franklin, TN right outside of Nashville, staying at my grandparents lovely home.

Of course, I took full advantage of the kitchen! I know…a kitchen! I’ve never been so excited to see one. It was much more practical that the tiny knife and camp stove I’ve become so accustomed to.

Oh and g-ma has a garden!!!

Spinach & Mushroom (w/ Asparagus) Quiche and the Quick Cuisinart Crust

At the Morris household, quiches are the go-to holiday, brunch, and random family gathering weekend meal. Quiches are never purchased, but always built from the bottom up (crust and all). Turnip & Potato Hash Browns

Turnips–definitely not a vegetable I grew up munching on. They are never featured on veggie platters, and definitely do not have shelf space at my local Trader Joe’s. I would be so curious to know if anybody ate turnips, on the regular!?

Homemade Gnocchi and Porcini Mushroom Sauce Party
