Fennel, Apple, & Dill Salad {with lemon dijon dressing}

We are all about balance in the LYK. Yesterday you had cupcakes, today you get salad. We realize a good indulgence every once in a while (chocolate at least once a day is a must for me) is totally necessary but we also recognize the importance of a healthy diet. I definitely keep a bag of truffles in my office drawer or stock up on the Reese’s at Halloween so I can have one a day after lunch.

Lamb Sliders {with Caramelized Onions & Tzatziki}

Well that looks like a lonely slider. It once had seven other siblings, but we gobbled them up pretty darn quick.

I thought this was an appropriate pre-Father’s Day post. Most dad’s like burgers. I know mine does.

Lemon Goat Cheese Cauliflower Mash

Cauliflower mash. Let’s be real, that does not sound appealing.

But it’s looks and taste are more deceiving than you know. It eerily similar to mashed potatoes but these have a little twist of lemon and goat cheese.


We had this with the Asian BBQ ribs last weekend and it was a fabulous pairing. You can of course eat them with a simple roasted chicken or a fancy cut of steak too.

Smoked Salmon Flatbread with Dill Sauce

This smoked salmon flatbread recipe was inspired by a lunch I had at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant with my mom.

Here’s a little secret you may or may not want to know: This was originally in the form of a pizza layered with smoked salmon, dill sauce and capers.
