Yesterday, we had the privilege of doing another live cooking demo on San Diego Living, Channel 6′s weekday morning segment.

And here we are, getting all prepped and ready in our LYK aprons. They had us cook outside on the studio patio…in winter. Let’s be real, this is only possible in Southern California. Everywhere else is snowed in and frozen over, so we count our blessings.

Bella NutriPro Cold Press Juicer. Let me tell you. This thing is a silent wonder. Yes, I said silent.
Our previous juicer sounded like a tornado ripping through the house but this one is sooo quiet – you can still hear music, have a conversation, and
even hear yourself think with it running.
Before I even get into the juicing part of this machine, can I just say it makes sorbet?! And nut milks?! Pretty darn awesome.
Creamy sorbet in just minutes, don’t mind if I do. Well, I haven’t yet, but trust me once it’s about 20 degrees warmer, I most definitely will be.

This will be the first Memorial Day that I can remember where rain is in the forecast for San Diego. SO sad. I plan to have a few cocktails and a burger either way.

we are moving this weekend? Yep. It’s literally to an apartment next door but a move none the less. When Memorial Day hits on Monday we will be oh, so happy for a break…and as usual good food!
