It’s raining! It’s pouring (well, not so much pouring…but for pete’s sake the sky is doing something other than emitting sunshine)! Now our farmers and pocketbooks can be a little more relieved that the price and quality of produce can be a little less inhibited by So Cal’s droughty weather.

Cran-Oat Bran Muffins

Sometimes a hearty breakfast on-the-go is hard to find. Well, look no more. This energy-packed breakfast muffin has it all!

The hint of orange zest pairs well with the dried cranberries and cinnamon. This flavor trio brings back the nostalgia of the holidays. If you didn’t mind one bit, a healthy handful of chocolate chips would take these to another level!

Flavor aside, these are full of protein and fiber, as various grains are jam-packed into little fluffy muffins.

Gotta love a good ol’ hearty cup (or bowl) of oatmeal.

It’s just one of those comfort foods. One of those “stick to your bones” kind of breakfasts. But not in a bad way.
